Florida STEMposium

STEMposium Mission Statement:

Uniting Florida schools and stakeholders around the common goal of preparing the Florida STEM Workforce for the future by building strong foundations for each and every Florida child in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through high quality, engaging standards-based instruction.

STEMposium Objectives:
  1. Increase Florida student achievement.
  2. Align teacher content knowledge with the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
  3. Increase networking and collaboration among teachers.
  4. Increase networking and collaboration between teachers and stakeholders.
  5. Experience hands-on activities and labs to implement in the classroom.


Summer 2019 Events

FDOE will be hosting three Florida STEMposiums across the state during July.

Each symposium will have three strands for those who attended in 2018 (Cohort 1) and for those attending for the first time in 2019 (Cohort 2):

Participant will receive 16.5 hours of instruction. Registration is $75 per attendee, which is non-refundable, but transferable. Housing is not provided, but a list of hotels near the facilities is available.
